Stock CX cluster doesn't have a shift light from what I've seen, stock VX cluster has the shift light and a tac, if you want a stock look.
5,000rpm is way to fast for the vtec-e to be kicking in at, it should be 2,500rpm and the only times that the engine should see 2,500rpm is when you have a car full of people or alot of cargo and need to merge in to freeway traffic, or other times like that where you need to get up to speed much quicker then normal.
