150,000 tire pressure gauges being given away to promote efficiency

A group based in Ontario called "One Change" is going to give out 150,000 free tire pressure gauges to help educate the general public about the importance of tire pressure on vehicle fuel consumption.

The education campaign comes from the same group who also started the "Project Porchlight" program, which gave one compact fluorescent lightbulb to homes in a door-to-door effort to get people thinking about simple changes that affect energy conservation.

Apparently you don't just get the gauge and walk away - there's a short clinic first, so the education bit isn't missed.
