Although they appear to be angled back slightly I am not so sure if reversing the mirrors would change much since they are the old school "flag" style and just about flat on both sides. What might have affected air flow would be turning them as you said then mounting them as if the body was actually designed to go "backwards." Lets say... Over the door handles. Unless that's what you were thinking in the first place.. LOL
