IIRC the Volt's discharge rate just depends on the OEM firmware, not the pack per say. It's so GM won't have to replace the pack even if someone in CA or any other state where it's covered by the 150k mile warranty pulls all 150k miles in EV mode at high'ish discharge rates.

I'm tired of people throwing fits when someone calls them on something that they demonstrably (Especially when it's false) don't know is true.
