I recently read that Russia has an "alco-laser-radar" which can detect alcohol fumes in a car going as fast 200km/h. Polish police will be testing it soon. This device will definitely lead to people being pulled over just because one of the passengers was drunk, but will this also lead to more drunk drivers getting caught before they kill someone? It will help police make an educated guess which car to stop, instead to the almost random method used now. Supposedly the Russian device can even tell (from a distance) which person the alcohol is coming from, but I somehow find that hard to believe...
