The minimum point occurred 10 days later than it used to, and the refreezing is lagging behind even the 2007 levels, so far.

The northwest and northeast passages were open for the first time in recorded history.

All of this was predicted a while ago, and now it is happening much more quickly than last predicted. So, not only is global climate change happening, but it is happening more quickly than the worst case scenarios had laid out.
