I've had my original SG since mid 2006, about 50,000 miles ago, when I started reading Darin's website,
www.metroMPG.com. These SGs are able to be adjusted to match the readings at the pump, it usually takes a few tanks to get it to be within the 1-2% range of accuracy. But, like Ron Popeil says, "Set it and Forget it!" Once you have the percentage fuel consumption changed to match the pump, your Instantaneous and Trip MPGs will be right on the money.
The percent offset settings for the fuel are in the settings>fill up> section of the scan gauge, if my memory serves me correctly. Check out
