Well it would work as a faraday cage, but a faraday cage can also be a mesh that has to be at least a certain fraction of the wavelength of the expected interference (I forget the fraction though) Mostly it's just a good way to use waste PCB and shield your controller at the same time.

this might be useful when it comes out depending on the price. It's a digital picture frame that runs linux and can be coded in Flash, LUA, or the Android SDK. Does that mean someone could write code for this and a smartphone at the same time, perhaps?
