Nice to read your thread from start to finish sounds like you have alot of sentimental feelings for your old work horse. Like you My 24,000 mile a year commute ended some 6 years agoI have 204,000 on the stock drivetrain in my 95 Tahoe and I try and maintain it when I can. The best thing about a car/truck like this is that you believe it can go forever and it just does. I have no probs dropping a 8,000 lbs. load in the trailer and pulling it away. Same attitude you have driving that 1,000 mile drive.
