...I've owned and used three different units (in chronological order):
1) Auto Meter 9100 ecometer™
2) ScanGaugeII™
3) Ultra Gauge™
...and, the SGII™ is the hands-down "winner" for my application on 2004 and 2009 Pontiac Vibes--100% trouble-free, reliable operation.
...I still don't know "why," but the AutoMeter has problems on the Vibes, and AutoMeter simply doesn't seem to care (or respond) about the isssue.
...as for the UG, I agree, that's the better co$t-value product, but it falls short in the 'technical' flexibility catagory, which is the arena where the SGII™ really excels.
...I look forward to hopefully seeing a ScanGaugeIII soon--want it for the wife's Cruze LTZ!
