The recent snow storms and cold temps have finally put my mpg into the realm of winter mileage. I hadn't had a single drive in under 50mpg since the first week of November because we had a lovely Indian Summer here. And then there's this week. Monday the snow was so bad that I had to drive the truck and I got stuck in traffic for one hour forty five minutes! Normally it's a 36-40 minute commute. I don't have a SG in the truck, so I can only assume it was far worse than the typical 14-16mpg.

Tuesday I had to keep the car running the entire drive in because it was in the single digits. Traffic was horrendous and I managed my worst drive in ever, 42.3mpg. Today was mildly better with 49.4mpg, but I really liked it better when everyone was on holiday and the roads were mine to P&G EOC.

Hopefully I'll find a way to get up earlier so I can avoid some of this traffic, but winter, I'm afraid, is here to stay for a while.
