I thought of blocking ONLY the upper grille inlets on mine. I'd at least leave the lower ones open even with closing the uppers and bumper inlets.

Just some FYI:

Came across some info (needs verification) that CUMMINS maintenance shows 60F a minimum ideal air inlet temperature.

On big trucks we used winter fronts, but were adjured to NEVER block fan airflow (about a 12" diameter circle ahead of that device).

Let us know how readings go, in town versus steady-state highway, loaded and unloaded.
