I always figure it's a reasonable 10k miles on any vehicle, new or used, before all seasons and conditions have been met and made automatic in practice.

Nice start!

Thanks! I guess this means that I came out of the qualifier round of the baseline kicking... and spooling. It should only go up from here (I hope). We are, after all, after the equinox

First aero mods today... Grill block!

Pretty simple, theses are just pieces of coroplast cut to the right shape and zip tied on. For the ones on the bumper, I made a little hook with bailing wire, hooked that around the lip and taped the other side.

Today I did some highway driving and it never seemed to have any troubles keeping its temperature in check, no higher than usual actually.

I just got through putting on some "wheel well gap skirts" and an initial 50 MPH drive felt promising. I have a road trip ahead so I'll see what numbers come out.

I thought of blocking ONLY the upper grille inlets on mine. I'd at least leave the lower ones open even with closing the uppers and bumper inlets.

Just some FYI:

Came across some info (needs verification) that CUMMINS maintenance shows 60F a minimum ideal air inlet temperature.

On big trucks we used winter fronts, but were adjured to NEVER block fan airflow (about a 12" diameter circle ahead of that device).

Let us know how readings go, in town versus steady-state highway, loaded and unloaded.
