From a utility standpoint I'd say lower the gate,run it up the ramp,strap it down,and maybe pull the mirrors.
I think the weight bias would be better.The Tundras ride great even empty so the load probably won't help there, but by having the mass more over the rear axle might help on rainy roads as far as hydroplaning.And should the rear end get loose on you,you won't have a big clock weight hanging way back there like the Tatra 87.'n just live with the extra turbulence.
