The utility of your cap cannot be beat. Especially if both doors open wide enough to carry full 4x8 sheets of plywood, drywall, etc.

From your pix it looks like your garnish does not have any blend radius between approach and tapers. If so, they don't help aero. They may help keep the rear doors cleaner and drier though.
