I wish he would have tested the conventional topper with rear garnish, because that is what I have. The top slopes 10 degrees (restricted by door opening) and the sides slope in 12 degrees. The "garnishes" extend 5 inches beyond the back of the topper, so that they are about even with the end of the bumper.

You might need something that can slide or lift out of the way when you need access to the rear doors...

No, the rear doors barely clear the top garnish. The photo is slightly looking down on the back of the truck, which gives the perception that the doors are too tall. Clearing the doors is the reason the top garnish is only 10 degrees and not 12 degrees like on the sides.

The utility of your cap cannot be beat. Especially if both doors open wide enough to carry full 4x8 sheets of plywood, drywall, etc.

From your pix it looks like your garnish does not have any blend radius between approach and tapers. If so, they don't help aero. They may help keep the rear doors cleaner and drier though.

You could attach piano hinges connected to the top and sides to extend and or change the angle of the garnish. Then simply fold back to gain entrance.

By using this method you could create a full folding Kamaback if you wanted to.

No, it doesn't have a lot of bend radius. I tried to radius it as much as I could, but I also had to make sure I still maintained some glue attachment surface for the side and top panels to the frame of the topper. That limited how much radius I could add. Besides, I don't think the garnishes in the report were attached with any significant radius.

Also, the opening is only about 39 inches wide. Not big enough for a full sheet of plywood, but big enough for most organs and all the amps and speaker cabinets I typically carry.
