My commute (53km each way) is a mixture of urban, highway and motorway. I use the motorway (110kph, slightly longer) to avoid 12km of highway (80kph) that has lots of traffic lights.
Although driving further and faster on the motorway hurts FE, it dosen't hurt it nearly as badly as those traffic lights do.
