You can see as much as I. Looks like Dow Super-Tuff. I scavenged that piece from a remodelling site.

I haven't tested it for combustableness but it doesn't matter, there's nothing very hot on top of this engine anyway.

The foil faced foam does a nice job of retaining heat. I leave it in there year around now; I pull the grille block in the summer for hauling/towing.
