Woo hoo! Since the chrome would be the shiny part, I'd just cut letters/numbers out of flat-black magnet sheets. But I'd have to look at it before starting the car to make sure the smart-alecks didn't mess with it. Not a big issue for me since I'm always stowing my backpack in the trunk.
