I had to risk my tank this PM as A. Jnr was late for his rock star training (guitar) so I had to cruise in the right hand (i.e. 'outside' in the correct side of the road world) lane instead of my usual trundle in the left.

And damn me if Helga didn't average more than she does at dawdle ? I 'harried' a dawdling BMW out of the way (empty left lane, move over you prat) and undertook a Mini Cooper S (you don't move, I go anyway - yeah turbo, eat soot).

By the time I turned off she was showing 68 mpg AVG compared to normally 65 at dawdle. Another benefit was that the lights were out on the junction so it was a normal roundabout.

Guess what ?

Traffic FLOWED BETTER.

EDIT - this was BEFORE I picked up Jnr. I don't bully or undertake when carrying Jnr. For a start there is the swearing to explain...
