Carlo, Check your connections to both the starter and the ground to the block as well as frame. Being on the left cost you don't get the issues i get in Jersey with salt air and temp expansion terminal ends and corrosion is a problem if not maintained.
What you described is common had it happen to my truck once this year and my neighbor asked me for help his terminals were loose and a friend was stuck they had a lot of corrosion. I hope it is that easy of a fix for ya.
