Can you get away with such modifications
It wouldn't be allowed on the streets here.

What's still left of the structural rigidity after such an invasive chop-job ?

also wonding about tires, should I stick with the 12" rims or go 13 14 or 15??
When you lose a lot weight, and improve the aerodynamics, the engine will pull the car along nicely at lower revs (and lower power) as it needs less power, so you can get away with taller wheels.
Taller wheels roll better, even if they need a bit more power to get them spinning.
