How high of a pressure is safe to put in them?
This has been dicussed a lot on this site, some people think filling tires to (or beyond) the sidewall max is ok and gives you benifits in mileage. In your case it would be the 40 or 44 psi mentioned. I've personally held a section of tire that tore itself apart from overinflation when in riding school for motorcycles. I don't recommend going passed the sidewall max but at the same time a lot of people in the forum have. I'm keeping my tires to 5psi below sidewall max just in case. I'd rather be on the safe side than have one of my $225 tires blow apart and possibly kill myself...
