Did winter time test run to see what the Yaris would do at the posted speed in winter driving conditions; -15 to +5C snow and ice on roads windy; mostly head winds and cross winds. The results are 751 miles / 19.28 gallons = 38.95mpg, 56mph average speed, 13.4hrs run time. The posted speed where 110km/hr mostly and some at 100km/hr and the least amount where a 90km/hr. There where the occasional stop signs and traffic lights in the small towns I passed through. Mostly on crues control. no EOC although big hills always got coasting in neutral engine at idle. and still 21.7% above EPA. I did this to have a base line for the next searies of mods because my plan is to get to better than 50mpg at posted speed in the winter and better than 60mpg at posted speed in the summer.
