kindah shame you put the metal patches on the outside of the door if you drilled a hole in the patch , made it so it could pass though the widest part of the hole you and hold it in place by a piece of wood and a woodscrew screwed through the wood on the outside of the door in the little drilled hole couldve stuck it on from the back leave it to dry get the screw out the wood off and skim an extra bit of filler over the big rusthole before sanding it flat with the rest of the sheetmetal
it wouldve made the repair practicly invisible and only be a little more work .
im planning on doing the same thing over here , the only thing is we dont have rustoleum but sumtin by another brandname and ive been told its made different because of european laws i just hope i get the same result
