For the test to have been considered anything short of ridiculous, the fuel for both magnetized and non magnetized engines should have come from the same bulk fuel container, drawn at the same time, in real time. Since the tester claims that both engines are experiencing the same circumstances all the time, they should be drawing relatively the same amount of fuel at all times. Therefore, monitoring the fuel return's flow would show that one engine was using more or less fuel than the other.
