The only difference between the XFi transmission and all the other Metro & Swift 5-speed models is the final drive (taller F.D. in the XFi than most other models). So you could get any transmission and swap the F.D. over.

Since you've been driving it like this for 2 years, I'd be tempted to deal with the engine first, unless you're going to bite the bullet & do everything at once.
