The one-time mpg spikes could be gotten rid of by calculating the lifetime avg without the single best and single worst tanks. That's how scores are calculated in certain sports - discard the highest and lowest score from the jury and average the rest. If we were to discard the best and worst tanks from the lifetime average, then that may persuade more members to enter all of their tanks - there have been many discussions about how members don't enter their worst tanks because they feel that "it wasn't normal driving".
