come on people, this arguing is just plain stupid!

Everything you pour into tank/into batteries, should be counted for mpg, period. To be more exact, electric cars watt-hours are made gasoline equivalent, same should be done with other fuels (biodiesel, alcohol, whiskey, applejuice, snakeoil...whatever makes your car move)
So, if you use diesel and biodiesel, add up both of them. If you use gasoline to start natural gas car, add both of them.
