The take-home message is: avoid the brake pedal. Parking is one time you may have the option of rolling to a complete stop because there's no set 'stop line' if you have flexibility on which spot you can choose.

if you come upon your parking spot and have enough momentum to roll around for a while you have already wasted the fuel....you cant get it back by rolling around....best bet is to do a better job of planning out your parking and have just enough momentum to roll into your spot. so braking here would be the best option for damage control and then for next time review your coasting point and adjust it so you can get it right on next time!
