Banks would refer to this as "pre-drafting", wherein one would spend money they weren't yet entitled to, then cover it up with a deposit in the same business day that wouldn't be valid until the next business day, often 3 calendar days later.
At least that's what it reminds me of. Either way, it's not really helping anything in the long run.
