I think the best one is in position 1 ala NASCAR, but the pragmatic choice for me is position 3. In particular I am doing this :



The spring mounting makes it useable in an urban environment. There is also a chain that stops the dam from deploying past 90 degrees from the downward/vertical position. The fixed side-spats are TBD.

Do you think this would be a net-gain?
