With all the hiking we do, the Wife and I are used to packing light - you pack it, you carry it for two weeks.
The problems start when we take the car: "I'll pack another blanket, it might be cold", I'm not sure which shoes will be better, so I'll take both and leave one in the car", "Did you take an extra jacket?", "Remember to pack more
_fill_in_the_blank_, it's not like you'll have to carry it", etc.
So I understand what you're going through
