How about cranking up the pressure ?
Have a look on the sidewall what the tyres will stand, and gradually increase the pressure.

The ride will get harder, but your fuel consumption will drop.
When the ride gets bouncy, you've gone too far.
On my V50 I won't increase the pressure beyond what the tyres are rated for - 51 psi - as the rear end gets a bit too bouncy beyond that.
