Quick update. Back up and running today. Looking increasingly like R32 (1k) in the rs232 circuit was either faulty or i screwed up the soldering.

Now, Cole, when you shift the gear and that little needle on the ammeter goes into the red and reads 2000 Amps, that's bad.
