Those Hummers went "cheapo" with plain suspension and less bracing a few years ago. I saw a picture somewhere of a horrific accident that had a Hummer about 4 feet long- 5 people dead. Turns out that the Hummer was doing about 40 mph and rear ended a stopped school bus. The bus in the photo looked like nothing happened, but 2 feet back was only the back of a Hummer.
Size of a vehicle matters very little. Size of a drivers brain mattered to 4 people that day. Main thing that matters is the nut behind the wheel.
