Finally hit 515K. A couple weeks ago I pulled the oil pan off and found the pick up screen for the oil pump was clogged. I cleaned it, put the oil pan back on and filled it with fresh oil and filter and now the car has better oil pressure than it's had in years. The oil pressure is about 80 psi on a cold start, about 25 psi on a warm engine at idle and about 60 psi on a warm engine at 55 mph so apparently the bearings are still in pretty good condition for 515K miles. I guess I can stand having to pull the oil pan every 1/2 million miles to clean out the pick up screen. I was a bit worried about my baby thinking it's useful life might be about over, but everything worked out good and the only cost's involved was a can of brake cleaner and a day spent removing the oil pan, cleaning everything good and reassembling it. The oil pan removal wouldn't have been bad if I hadn't have had to remove the starter to get to some of the bolts and remove the catalytic converter so I could drop the exhaust to get the pan out.
