There is only one draw back to using K&N filters or re-usable filters that require oil. And that is the oil. If improperly serviced that oil will get past the filter and begin to muck up your MAP sensor on the intake and those are not cheap. If it does not mess it up enough to throw a code, then it just affects the air fuel mixture which impacts your FE.
