That's just something I read somewhere, and have no proof either way. When pulsing I just floor it, instead of searching for 80LOD in the ScanGauge. But I hardly ever go past 2k rpm. EDIT: I mentioned earlier that when the DPF is regenerating the ECU turns the rear window and side mirror heaters on to increase the engine's load. I just found out that the glow plugs are also turned on for the same reason.
