moserial

For those who want to view real time data and configure your open source controller using an open source operating system, try moserial. If you are using Fedora or Ubuntu just go the the Add/Remove Software in the System menu and search for moserial, 1 click and it's installed. Set up is easy as it automatically found my serial to usb converter, just had to choose it from the menu. Screen shot should have all the info you need, just remember to set the device to whatever is appropriate for your system. I found that before sending any commands to the controller you need to hit enter first, type command and hit enter again. Font type and size is also configurable, I made it large so I could glance at it easily while driving.

Greg

EDIT: I have added this to the wiki. Also on the bottom right of the screen shot I have found it works better to set the outgoing to <CR end> and not <CR+LF end> as shown.
