How about that Bob ?
A 20 year old Jap car can handsomely beat 42mpg by a fair margin - say another 42 mpg !
The technology is available to make them, why not use it ?
Oh I see, you think having fuel efficient and cost effective vehicles would make the world a better place, huh?

Making people happy in their rolling spaceships getting 100 mpg, huh?

Utilizing tools that are easily available, huh?

Well HMPFFFF!

It's that common sense thinking and caring for the consumer that is not going to fly here and we will not stand for it! If everyone had 100 mpg cars, my portfolio would suffer!

"Excuse me, sir, your microphone is on."

Oh..........

Another G&T please?
