Misfire under load is often the product of worn plugs or wires, as well. My Caravan wouldn't down softy under load, just jerk and sputter until almost WOT, then grab a gear and scream. It had two wires bad. Built two new ones from some I had laying around, didn't have to touch them again the whole time I owned it.
