I'm now the proud owner of 3...yes...three...el cheapo dial type tire pressure gauges.

Amazon.com: TEKTON by MIT 5938 Dial Tire Gauge - 100 PSI: Home Improvement

Had to glue the rubber gasket into it...bezel is glass...domed and too likely to get cracked...only paid $7 though. Reads at 42 PSI.

Amazon.com: 4X4 Accu-gage: Automotive

Larger and bulky...but easy to use. Has a rubber shield on the dial. Reads at 41 PSI. I paid ~$7.

Buy Victor Tire Gauge with Bleeder - Dial - Mini 22-5-60023-8 at Advance Auto Parts

Probably the best of the 3...has a case. Reads at 42 PSI. On sale for $5.

ALL of these have a release button so you can remove them from the tire and see the pressure.

Best bet? Buy 2 of the last one and make sure they agree and agree with a Master gauge. When one shows an off reading...buy another?
