My daily commute is 8 minutes longer by hypermiling and I'm saving 80€/month, so I'm "earning" 30€/hour, ie much more than my salary.
Bonus : my daily commute permits me to relax. When I'm working far from Toulouse, or at home, then I don't have a daily commute and my stress level is increasing rapidly
