Yeah, but that would be based on the Petrol one which drives really really really really badly.

Found out that the new Kia Picanto and its related Hyundai i10 can be had with stop-start - which would suit me as I drive a lot in traffic - and also an intelligent alternator system which switches it off when the battery doesn't need charging and uses regen braking.

The bad side is that this comes on the 1.0 litre 3-pot only on the i10 which is has had a long session with the ugly stick but the nicer looking Picanto only has this on the thirstier 1.25. To illustrate the looks thing, an i10 putting children off their lunches yesterday...



...compared to a Picanto charming birds from the trees.



Both of these can be converted to use LPG but you need to do 16K miles to get it to pay for itself - which would be 4-5 years for me However both are rated at 99g/km which means £0 tax.

Rather cheekily the i10 economy model is called a Blue, which is of course unrelated to Bluemotion or Mercedes Blue etc etc.

Both are very cheap though. Hmmm.
