Finding a community of empiricists . . . not everyone but a much higher ratio than found elsewhere. I'm not expecting perfection . . . the ashes of 'planned communities' are enough to killl that illusion. Rather, I came seeking those who might understand, to the limits of their abilities, how I see reality as just a great series of experiments . . . until we die.

This afternoon, I had someone challenge my report of an obscure problem between "Windows XP Professional" and web certificates. The details are unimportant but I went to chat with him and . . . well he misunderstood what I was trying to explain. But I offered him a chance to test his understanding and when I left at 5:00 PM, he agreed with me about the problem. Along the way, I learned some details, not important to the core problem but useful no less. So in my eyes, this skeptic has moved up a notch and that is how a reputation is earned, small nudges.

It is nice to know you are not alone.
