Thanks! That could be the strange design reason.
You have obviously seen the remainder of my pictures. You can attach them in one of two ways - firstly directly to the post, if you have enough posts done, or by adding them to an album which makes them visible to all. Go to your user CP, and there is an entry for Albums. Make a new one and add your pictures to it.
When posting you can then use the picture button (the yellow box with a circle and triangles representing mountains and the sun
) and put in the URL location. This is the entry in your address bar when you are viewing the full picture. If it is too big the board resizes it for you.
You may wish to remove your reg number from any photos.
Cooling temps have not moved with either the tape block or the plastic one. They have also not moved since I put in the "shelf". And Intake temps have not moved down since I opened the plastic cover at all. The conclusion seems to be that the temp sensor that the SG2 uses is down-wind of the turbo so the temps rise and fall when the engine is worked. Normally it sits at 25 Deg C all the time, sometimes moving to 35 if I give it the beans.
I may be moving to an Octavia myself (Mrs A's 2006 model, 2.0 TDI) so I would be interested in any improvements you have seen.
