I don't use them around town. Since the come on and off relatively easy.
On the trip to Texas I used the hand wand self service care wash. I sprayed up under them just like any other part of the car. When I sprayed on the 'wax' I also sprayed the inside of the skirt.
When I towel dried the last of the water, I just reached under and wiped.
