I deleted my Civic's mirrors. But aerohead argues that it is a pointless change, on the basis of high quality track testing of tops speeds. He says no significant top speed difference could be found on his 1980s civic (3rd Gen?) with the mirrors on or off. I have been contemplating replacing one mirror as a result. What you you think?

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.
