The cost is to be spread over the life of the car.
If it is kept about three suggested filter changes or longer (about 150 000 kms total) then the cost is just less than three dealer filters @ 32.00 each.
Anything extra is a bonus.
An interesting line up with the K&N though.
Just slightly less expensive and no oil to buy.
